Hey everyone! I'm am excited to announce that after working very hard the thumbnail replacement team has replaced over 10 000 files!!!
As most of you all know in the last couple months a team of crack vector experts (myself included) have been working away at HQ giving zoomable thumbnails for all the online vectors! As well as the zoomy thumbnail, we are creating JPEG's for each file and making sure that all the files are zipped properly! So here's to the next 10 000!!! Yay! less …

Exclusive video and vector contributors are joining forces to host the first ever Double Vee ’Lypse in Toronto, Canada from August 1-3, 2008. The dual 'Lypse was born out of sheer rebellion. The vector and video teams thought that going to a photo 'Lypse is like going to your parents party – they’re always the centre of attention while you hide in the basement. So iStock said yes to the Double Vee ’Lypse for Exclusive video and vector contributors this summer.
Why mix vector and video folk, you ask? The two mediums have been crossing paths quite frequently since major brands like Apple released iPod commercials with a sexy blend of video-like illustrations. iStock wants to host an event where both kinds of artists can flex their skills side by side.
Vector artists will seek inspiration the traditional way through experiencing creative culture. On Saturday Rather than sitting in front of your computer monitors and laptops all day, pushing Bezier points around the screen, we're going to focus on exploring Toronto's expansive art scene and gathering reference materials for our personal collections. On Sunday we'll put those experiences to good use during production and tutorial time.

The iStock vector troupe is heading across the Pacific pond to Melbourne, Australia from August 28-31 for the biggest Vectorlypse of 2008. Since every 'Lypse generates its own series of legends, we thought the ever-energetic Melbourne would offer the perfect blend of beauty and inspiration for our vector artists.
Melbourne, situated on the coast of Victoria state, is famous for its busy annual arts calendar, comedy festivals, film festivals, concerts and galleries. Bring your digital camera and sketching pencils, as we'll be visiting plenty of scenic locations! Check out Victoria's top attractions ranging from the Melbourne Aquarium to the Crown Entertainment Complex.
A V'Lypse ticket gets you access to pre-booked iStock events including two gallery tours and admission to a free Adobe Illustrator session with Adobe guru Mordy Golding. The Outre Gallery has booked us for a curator's talk and we'll also be going to the National Gallery of Victoria.
Events at the Centre for Adult Education on Friday and Sunday include coffee, tea, cookies and a sandwich lunch, plus admission to the galleries. Tickets also include a whopping 50% discount for tickets to the Creative Suite LIVE! and Photoshop LIVE! conferences, which are both running the week prior to our event, if you'd like to come out early.
